Mobilization of Stem Cells With AMD3100 (Plerixafor) in Multiple Myeloma Patients

    1. Quick Summary of Findings: Study done to observe if a combination treatment of AMD3100(plerixafor) and granulocyte colony-stimulating factor(G-CSF, filgrastim) is better than G-CSF by itself in regards to mobilizing and collecting stem cells from patients with multiple myeloma.
    2. Summary for a possible patient: Patients with cancer that forms in their white blood cells that are considering treatment using stem cells may consider combination treatments of plerixafor and filgrastim or filgrastim alone to determine if either treatment can boost the amount of stem cells that can be collected for treatment.
    3. Study Participants: 18-78 years old, diagnosed with multiple myeloma
